Cuemái at SaloneSatellite 2026: Our third time in Milan Design Week
Cuemái Estudio at SaloneSatellite 2026 will presents a textile system engineered from tequila waste, transforming these byproducts into materials across fashion, interiors, and design.
Cuemái will be exhibiting at SaloneSatellite 2026 from April 21–26, 2026. This year, Cuemái Estudio is excited to present a curated selection of our explorations of materials, showcasing how they can be transformed into final products. This exhibition will echo the themes we introduced at Zona Maco Emergente 2026, where we first launch Cuemái Estudio.
At Satellite, the studio’s booth will delve into the fascinating origins of our materials and the rituals that have inspired our creative process. We will begin with items that are traditionally considered waste, reimagining them into something extraordinary. This approach not only challenges conventional notions of design but also invites visitors to consider the potential of materials that are often overlooked. The space will function as a living system, a continuum where the byproducts of tequila production are ingeniously engineered into textiles suitable for interior design and various other applications.
In an era where global design is increasingly confronting its extractive history and the environmental impact of traditional manufacturing processes, Cuemái is at the forefront of redefining waste as latent potential. Our work embodies a philosophy that seeks to transform discarded materials into valuable resources, resulting in designs that not only reflect the rich cultural heritage of Mexico but also promote sustainability. The outcome is a collection of pieces that feel deeply rooted in Mexican identity, showcasing vibrant colors, textures, and forms that resonate with our cultural narratives.
We are genuinely excited about the opportunity to share our vision and creations with you at SaloneSatellite 2026.
We invite you to join us in this exploration of materials, culture, and sustainability, and to witness firsthand how Cuemái is paving the way for a more conscious approach to design.
